MLOPS Engineer 2

Reports To: Service Engineering Manager

The MLOps Engineer 2 will independently design, implement, and manage the automation and streamlining of the machine-learning lifecycle, ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable deployment and monitoring of models. This role bridges data science and operations, combining DevOps expertise with ML knowledge.

Focus: Independent automation of ML pipelines, deployment strategies, and monitoring in production.

The difference you will make:

  • Independently design and implement CI/CD pipelines for machine-learning models.
  • Automate training, validation, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for ML models.
  • Implement model-deployment strategies (A/B testing, canary deployments).
  • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for model serving (Kubernetes, serverless).
  • Manage model versioning, rollback, and governance mechanisms.
  • Optimize serving performance for latency, throughput, and resources.
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for model drift and performance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers for integration.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements.

What you will bring to the role:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years in DevOps, software engineering, or ML deployment and operations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services.
  • Knowledge of MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar model-management tools.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
