Senior Data Scientist

Reports To: Service Engineering Manager

The Senior Data Scientist leads the design, development, and deployment of complex AI and ML models to solve strategic business problems in the financial sector. This role requires deep expertise in data-science methodologies, advanced technical proficiency, and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable analytical solutions. The Senior Data Scientist also mentors junior team members and communicates insights to executive stakeholders.

Focus: Project leadership, strategic analysis, and advanced model development.

What you will bring to the role:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Operations Research; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Data Scientist leading complex projects.
  • Extensive experience in financial-services data and processes.
  • Proven track record in AI applications for finance (fraud detection, risk management, customer analytics, etc.).

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Python, Java, Scala, or R and related ML libraries.
  • Deep knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Strong statistical and deep-learning foundations.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools (Hugging Face, LangChain).
  • Advanced SQL and experience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
  • Proficiency in visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big-data tools (Hadoop, Spark).
